Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed journal is an essential building block in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge. It directly reflects the quality of the work of the authors and the supporting institutions. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. Therefore, agreeing upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved is paramount. As the publisher, Program Studi Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam, Universitas Tarbiyatut Tholabah takes its guardianship duties over all stages of publishing seriously and ensures that advertising or commercial revenue has no impact on editorial decisions.
Allegations of Research Misconduct
Research misconduct includes fabrication, falsification, citation manipulation, or plagiarism in producing, performing, reviewing, or reporting research. Editors are responsible for ensuring the integrity of the scientific record when misconduct is suspected. Using COPE best practices, the Editors will investigate allegations fairly. Submitted manuscripts containing misconduct will be rejected, while published papers found to contain misconduct may be retracted with a notice linked to the original article.
Publication Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published, guided by the journal's editorial policies and legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The Editor may confer with other editors or reviewers in making decisions.
Complaints and Appeals
Alamtara maintains a clear procedure for handling complaints regarding the journal, Editorial Staff, Editorial Board, or Publisher. Complaints concerning editorial procedures, citation manipulation, or unfair reviews will be processed according to COPE guidelines. Complaints should be sent via email to: alamtarajurnal@gmail.com.
