Manuscript Types

Alamtara: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam accepts scientific manuscripts relevant to the scope of Islamic Communication, Islamic Broadcasting, Islamic Media Studies, and interdisciplinary approaches in these fields. Submitted manuscripts must be original scholarly works, previously unpublished, and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

The types of manuscripts considered for publication in Alamtara include:

  1. Research Article
Research articles present original research findings conducted systematically using clear academic methodologies. The manuscript must include an introduction/objectives, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion supported by adequate data and analysis. Research topics may include (but are not limited to) da'wah rhetoric, Islamic journalism, cross-cultural communication, mass media ethics, Islamic digital broadcasting, sociology of Islamic communication, and contemporary religious media discourse.
  2. Review Article
Review articles present a critical synthesis of relevant scientific literature within the fields of Islamic communication and broadcasting. Manuscripts are expected to identify the state of the art, current trends, research gaps, scientific implications, and recommendations for future research. Review articles must rely on credible scholarly sources and utilize an appropriate literature search approach (e.g., Systematic Literature Review).
  3. Short Communication / Research Note
Short communications present preliminary findings, highly specific case studies, or new scientific information of significant value to the development of Islamic communication studies. These manuscripts are more concisely structured than full research articles but must still contain sufficient methodology and results to support the academic validity of the findings.
