Post-Publication Discussion and Corrections
Madinah: Jurnal Studi Islam (Madinah: JSI) strongly believes that scholarly dialogue does not end with the publication of an article. The journal facilitates and welcomes post-publication discussions, critical commentaries, and academic feedback to ensure the long-term validity, refinement, and integrity of scholarship in the field of community-based Islamic studies.
To maintain professional conduct and scientific standards, the journal implements the following mechanisms for post-publication discussion:
1. Submission of Academic Commentaries: Readers, researchers, or institutions who wish to comment on a published article, challenge its findings, or raise valid methodology concerns may submit a formal letter or commentary to the Editorial Board. All submissions must be objective, constructive, and supported by robust scholarly evidence.
2. Editorial Assessment: The Editorial Board will evaluate each submitted commentary for scientific relevance and tone. Valid academic critiques may be sent to external peer reviewers or field experts for further evaluation.
3. Author's Right to Reply: If a critique is deemed scientifically valid, the original authors will be formally invited to submit a written response or clarification. To promote transparency, the critique and the author's response will be published in the same issue and digitally cross-linked to the original article.
4. Post-Publication Corrections: If a post-publication discussion reveals honest scientific errors or involuntary data inaccuracies that do not constitute research misconduct, the journal will immediately publish a formal Correction (Corrigendum) or Addendum to rectify the public scientific record.
How to Submit:
All academic comments or notices of concern should be submitted directly via email to the Editor-in-Chief at madinah@iaitabah.ac.id with the subject line format: "Post-Publication Discussion - [Article Title]".
