About the Journal
PASIR: Jurnal Pusat Studi Islam Pesisir is an academic journal dedicated to the development of coastal Islamic studies, examining religious, social, cultural, economic, and public policy dynamics in the lives of Muslim communities in coastal regions. The journal positions coastal Islam as a space of interaction between religion, local culture, social structures, and social change through interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches.
PASIR: Jurnal Pusat Studi Islam Pesisir has been published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) of Universitas Tarbiyatut Tholabah Lamongan since 2024. The journal is published biannually, in June and December. Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening and is subsequently evaluated through a peer-review process to ensure the academic quality and scholarly contribution of the published articles.
